Six Hizb-ut-Tahrir supporters who are a threat to national security have been arrested in Chennai. The aim was to establish an Islamic Caliphate in India. It is an organization established in Palestine. Security agencies in India have issued alerts across the country. There are some indications that their aim is to carry out separatist activities centered on South India. The arrest of Hizb-ut-Tahrir supporters has raised concerns in the Indian security apparatus. Islamic extremism is weaving its tentacles in South India. Indications are that the terrorist group may try to expand its network in India.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international Islamic fundamentalist organization and Islamic fundamentalist political organization. Its stated aim is to establish an Islamic Caliphate. Its function of trying to unite the Muslim community is called Ummah. This terrorist organization was created by Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani, who was educated in Egypt and became a judge in the Islamic religious court there. In the beginning, it was a political organization against Israel in Jerusalem. The first program was to establish a caliphate in Israel.
Hizb-ut-Tahrir has taken the position that all world issues are a conflict between Islam and non-believers. The organization aims that when the history of the world is completed, there will be only an Islamic caliphate and there will be no non-Islamic people in the world. If the government system of a country is against Islam, the goal is to destroy it and establish a caliphate. This organization whitewashes the violent wars of Jihad by giving them dimensions of spirituality. Every battle is for Allah. They also dream of a world where there are no other religions. And it is regarded as an essential duty aimed at fighting disbelief until every country in the world submits to Islamic rule.
As this is a huge threat to a democratic country and other religions, the Islamic countries including Saudi Kuwait, Oman and UAE in the Middle East have banned the organization called Hizb ut-Tahrir. If they are found, they will be put on the Saudi terror list and tried
They have now been found and arrested in Chennai. Hizb-ut-Tahrir has already been banned in Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries. Intelligence agencies in Chennai have launched a crackdown on terrorist cells and arrested six Hizb-ut-Tahrir supporters along with literature and propaganda material supporting the group’s ideology. Agency outputs indicate that Indian security agencies are seriously monitoring the growth of terrorist ideologies. It is being checked which places in India they have gone.
Earlier in Kerala, the Cutting South program was planted to mark a special map of South India. It was sponsored by Canada. After that the Cutting South Conclave was held in Chennai. Moreover, the terrorist movement is active in South India.
At the recently concluded SCO summit in Astana, countries decided to take strong action against cross-border terrorism and extremism. It is also serious that this international terrorist organization has reached Chennai for the first time. In the coming months, New Delhi is expected to strengthen its anti-terrorist partnership with the Central Asian states. India is working with Saudi Arabia and the UAE to prevent such organizations from spreading in Asia.
