Mammootty and Sreenivasan have always shared a close bond in the film industry. Sreenivasan once openly shared that Mammootty had even helped him buy the thali chain for his wedding. Now, Sreenivasan has shared an interesting story about attending the wedding of Mammootty’s daughter, Surumi.
Once, when I visited Mammootty’s house in Chennai, I asked, “Don’t you want the money returned?” But Mammootty replied, “No, not now… let it stay there.” I asked him once or twice more, “Shall I take back the money you gave me?” But he never agreed to give it back. Then, his elder daughter’s wedding came around.
“On the eve of Surumi’s wedding, I bought a gold coin. I called both Mammootty and his daughter over and gave it to them as a gift. I did it for my own peace of mind. When I gave it, I finally felt at peace,” Sreenivasan shared.
In the same interview, Srinivasan had also revealed the story of Mammootty shouting at him when he told the story of Mazha Yethut Pheede. Mammootty was told the story of Mazayathum Peedene when he reached the shooting location of the movie Sukritam.
After listening to the story, Mammootty told me something wrong. There was a reason for that. Earlier we had made a story and we had put it aside. A date was also bought from him for that.
