Two CRPF jawans martyred in Manipur firing and bomb attack by Kuki militants. The jawans of 128 battalion of CRPF deployed in Naransena area of Bishnupur district lost their lives.
Police informed that the attack took place in the morning. Four soldiers were injured in the attack. The assailants fired at the camp from the top of the hill. The attack started around 12.30 pm and continued till 2.15 am.
Senior officials said that the bomb was thrown which led to the death of the officials. There were clashes in various places during the first phase of polling in Manipur. The police had to fire to disperse the aggressors. Four voting machines were vandalized in four places. In a booth, unknown persons set fire to the voting machine.
