Today is the 65th birthday of Malayali’s favorite actor and Union Minister Suresh Gopi. His birthday this year comes at a time when he is shining in his personal and political life. Along with cinema and politics, Suresh Gopi has become a good face in politics by making his presence known in the field of volunteering. Now he won the Lok Sabha elections from Thrissur and became a minister of state in the third Modi government.

Suresh Gopi has been given a lot of titles by his fans like action king, superstar and one of the star kings. Suresh Gopi, who changed the look and feel of Malayalam cinema in the 90s, is proving to be a great actor and political activist.

In the 80s, if the Malayalam film story environment was romantic, it was drastically rewritten and celebrated symbols of strength with the golden age of Suresh Gopi. When Suresh Gopi filled the screen with action and mass dialogues, the Malayalee audience welcomed him with open arms. Suresh Gopi’s dialogues were adored by children and adults irrespective of age. Suresh Gopi was born on June 26, 1958. Educated at Kollam Infant Jesus Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and Fatima Mata National College. Suresh Gopi graduated in Zoology and did his Masters in English.

Suresh Gopi made his acting debut in 1965 with the film ‘Odayilninnum’ directed by KS Sethumadhavan. After a long break, he returned to the silver screen in 1986. His 10 films were released in his second entry. Yuvajanoltsavam, TP Balagopalan MA and Rajavinte makan were notable films. In 1990, Suresh Gopi married Aranmula Ponnamma’s granddaughter Radhika.
