The Kerala High Court has criticized the VIP treatment reportedly given to actor Dileep during his recent visit to Sabarimala, stating that the matter cannot be taken lightly. The court has directed the Devaswom Board to provide an explanation and submit CCTV footage of the incident.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening when Dileep was seen bypassing the queue with the assistance of police officers. The visuals of this have since gone public, sparking controversy.
Dileep visited the temple just before it closed for the night after the Harivarasanam recital. This is not the first time he has visited Sabarimala. The High Court is now examining whether Dileep was accorded VIP privileges during his visit.
