Kochi: Police have arrested Ramshad, a home nurse, for a theft at the residence of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani in Karukappilly, Kochi. Ramshad, who is an accused in over 30 cases, allegedly stole 4.6 sovereigns of gold and ₹7,500 in cash.
The arrest was made following a complaint filed by Maudany’s son, Salahuddin Ayub. According to the complaint, 37 grams of gold ornaments and cash amounting to ₹7,500 went missing from a cupboard in the bedroom, amounting to a total loss of approximately ₹2.59 lakh.
The Elamakkara police, after reviewing CCTV footage from the residence and nearby areas, apprehended Ramshad, a native of Thiruvananthapuram. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are interrogating the accused. Abdul Nasser Madani’s family, including his wife, resides at the Karukappilly house.
