I don’t care who my opponent is, BJP will win : Suresh Gopi

BJP candidate Suresh Gopi said that being an opposition candidate in Thrissur is not his issue. BJP will win. Candidates change for a reason. He said that it is up to them to change the candidate. The Congress is preparing for an unexpected change in the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.

Sitting MPK Muralidharan of Vadakara is contesting in Thrissur. Thrissur sitting MP TN Pratapan did not make it to the list. It is understood that Prathapan will be considered in the 2026 assembly elections. Shafi Parampil MLA or T Siddique MLA will contest in Vadakara, where Muralidharan is moving. It is agreed that KC Venugopal himself will contest in Alappuzha.

In the remaining seats, sitting MPs are expected to contest. It is agreed that Rahul Gandhi will contest in Wayanad, but the final decision has been left to Rahul. The list of candidates for the first phase of Congress will be announced today.
