Thiruvananthapuram: Rajeev Chandrasekhar, after assuming charge as the BJP state president, stated that the new responsibility entrusted to him by the party is both an honor and a joy. He was addressing party workers following the official announcement of his appointment. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, emphasizing that he is taking on the responsibility on behalf of all party workers.
“I sincerely thank the party and its leaders for entrusting me with this new role. I also extend my gratitude to all the former BJP state presidents. We are indebted to those who have made sacrifices for the party, and we will move forward by remembering their dedication. The strength of BJP in Kerala was evident in the last Lok Sabha elections,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar said.
He raised concerns about Kerala’s economic stagnation and lack of opportunities. “Why does Kerala have to rely on borrowing to progress? Why do our children have to go outside the state for education? Why aren’t more industries coming to Kerala? The state is facing a development slowdown, and these are the challenges we must address,” he remarked.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that BJP’s mission is to transform Kerala. “If there are no opportunities, the youth will leave. We need a Kerala that attracts investment and provides employment,” he said.
He urged BJP workers to take the message of development to every household. “For real change, an NDA government must come to power in Kerala. My mission is to bring NDA to power, and I will not leave until that is accomplished. I am dedicating my full time to building a developed Kerala,” he declared.
He concluded his speech with a quote from Sree Narayana Guru: “Attain knowledge to become enlightened, strengthen unity through organization, and achieve prosperity through hard work.”
