Thrissur. An attempt was made to attack the excise team who came to arrest the sale of illegal liquor by unleashing a pet dog. The incident took place at Kodungallur Narayana Mangalam. After letting the dog loose on the counter-officers, it ran away. Nithin, a native of Narayana Mangalam, survived.
The inspection was conducted on the basis of confidential information received by the Excise. The inspection was conducted at the accused’s house. When the excise team arrived for inspection, the pet dog was released. The accused then ran away.
Excise seized 52 bottles of liquor and an electric scooter from the suspect’s house. Excise has intensified its search for the escaped treasure.
