India won gold again in the Paris Paralympics. Sumit Anril won India’s third gold medal in javelin throw. The 26-year-old from Haryana has thrown the javelin with a distance of 70.59 meters. Sumit’s achievement is about the Paralympics world record.
In this event, the players of Sri Lanka and Australia won silver and bronze. Sumit Anril also won gold medal in Tokyo Paralympics. With this, Sumit became the first Indian athlete to win gold in two Paralympics. Avani in shooting and Nitesh Kumar in badminton are the other players who won gold in Paris for India.
