False rumors are spreading on social media claiming that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been hospitalized. Several posts on social platforms assert that the actor is undergoing treatment in a hospital. According to these viral posts, Mohanlal was admitted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi due to fever and respiratory issues. Some posts even include hospital reports and edited images featuring the actor. The presentation of these posts and videos makes it appear as if the incident is a recent one.
However, the truth is that the news dates back to August 18, 2024. At that time, Mohanlal had sought medical assistance at Amrita Hospital due to fever and breathing difficulties. The official medical bulletin released then confirmed that he was diagnosed with a lung infection. The hospital authorities also stated that he was under medical care and recovering well. This old news is now being circulated as a new incident.
Doctors had advised Mohanlal to rest for five days back then and avoid crowded places. On August 26, news emerged that the ‘AMMA’ executive meeting, where he was expected to discuss revelations related to the Hema Committee report, was postponed due to his inability to attend.
