Kochi: A public forum called Kerala Nava-Madhya Aikya vedi (KNI) has been formed with the idea of protecting the rights of those working in relation to the new media in Kerala centered at Ernakulam and ensuring the commitment of the new media workers at the socio-cultural level. (KNI) elected Mr. PR Somdev as the State President, Mrs. Ajitha Jaishor as the State General Secretary, Mr. CB Thomas as the State Organization Secretary and Mr. Jaggan Vega as the State Treasurer.
The state committee of Nava-Madhyamiya Ikyavedi said that the cultural association of people working in the field of new-media will be an asset for the development and cultural revival of Kerala. KNI claimed that any media that enables social reform, national development based on contemporary culture through creativity and updated ideas can be called new media, and all those working in the new media chain without distinction between capitalists and workers can be members of the Kerala Nava Madhyama Ikyavedi to work with the above interpretation.
The organizers informed that activities will be organized by representing young men and women and Kerala Nava-Madhyam Aikyavedi will announce Social Awards in January 2025 for those who have excelled in social-cultural-services, cooperative movements, cinema, business and sports.
