Kozhikode: Lookout Notice Issued for Accused in Thooneri Shibin Murder Case

Police have issued a lookout notice for the accused in the Thooneri Shibin murder case after the Kerala High Court found them guilty. The Nadapuram police are working to bring the accused back to India, as they are currently abroad. The High Court has directed that the accused be arrested and produced before the trial court by October 15.

Shibin, a DYFI activist, was killed, and the trial court had previously acquitted the accused. However, on October 4, the Kerala High Court overturned the acquittal, finding them guilty. The police are now taking further action based on the court’s order.

Lookout notices have been issued for seven accused individuals, who are currently overseas. The police have initiated procedures to bring them back, sharing their passport details with various airports. If the accused wish to appeal the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court, they must first appear in person, as per the legal requirements.
