Lok Sabha Election, Polling Officers Wages Raised

Thiruvananthapuram: The daily wages of the officers assigned to the Lok Sabha election work have been revised. Presiding Officer, Counting Supervisor, Rehearsal Trainers, Polling Material Distributors/Receivers and Micro Observers will be paid Rs 600 in addition to Rs 250 for food expenses.

It was increased at the rate of Daily Wages- 350, Meals- 250, Total Traveling Expenses -250 and DA- 600. According to this, the officers performing these tasks on 25th and 26th will get a total of Rs.2650. 250 will be reduced due to non-payment of travel expenses for Rehearsal Trainers, Distribution/Receipt of Polling Materials and Micro-Observers. 2400 will be received. The presiding officer will be paid Rs 50 more for phone usage.

Earlier it was decided to pay Rs 500 to the polling officer, route officer, medical team members, training assistants and those who fix the ballot in the voting machine and Rs 250 for food. It was increased at the rate of Daily Wages- 250, Meals- 250, Total Traveling Expenses- 250 and DA- 500. According to this, a total of Rs.2250 will be received for two days.

Route officer, medical team members, training assistants and those who fix ballots in the voting machine will not be paid travel expenses, so Rs. 250 will be reduced. A total of Rs.2000 will be received. Group D employees were fixed at Rs 400 and Rs 250 each for food. It was increased at the rate of Daily Wages- 200, Meals- 250, Total Traveling Expenses- 250, DA- 350. According to this, the officers performing the duties on 25th and 26th will get a total of Rs.1850.
