Import duties on life-saving medicines have been waived. Customs duty on medicines for serious diseases, including cancer, has been completely waived.
The scheme will be implemented by involving various ministries to facilitate exports. Support will be given to the manufacturing of household electronic devices. The aim is to increase employment opportunities for youth. The foreign investment limit in the insurance sector has been increased to 74-100 percent. The entire premium should be invested in India. The restrictions based on the old law will be abolished, the Finance Minister said.
