Minister V. N. Vasavan praised Pinarayi Vijayan as the architect of the Vizhinjam Port in his welcome speech during the commissioning ceremony

In his welcome address during the commissioning of the Vizhinjam Port, Minister for Ports V. N. Vasavan praised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, calling him the architect of the Vizhinjam Port and a man of action whom time itself had preserved for this historic mission.

“Vizhinjam is witnessing a historic moment,” Vasavan said in his speech. “It is the determination and willpower of the first and second Pinarayi governments that made this a reality. Where people once claimed nothing would be possible, the Left government and its helmsman—the Chief Minister—have proven that nothing is impossible, giving true meaning to Napoleon’s words.”

He highlighted that the project overcame early challenges, including shortages of raw materials, the COVID-19 pandemic, and devastating floods, to finally become a reality today.

Presiding over the event, Minister V. N. Vasavan warmly welcomed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, describing him as the visionary and driving force behind the port—“a man of action whom time had reserved for this mission.” He then extended his welcome to the Prime Minister, the Governor, and other dignitaries present on the dais.
