Kolkata: With just days remaining for the five-match Test series against Australia to begin, India receives some joyful news. Pace bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been out of cricket for the past year due to injury, is set to return to competitive cricket.
Shami will play for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh starting on Wednesday in Indore, as confirmed by the Bengal Cricket Association. Although he hasn’t joined the Bengal squad for training in Indore yet, Bengal coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla clarified that Shami will be joining the team later in the evening.
