New Delhi: SBI handed over the election bond information to the Election Commission. The information was handed over on the basis of the Supreme Court’s order that it be handed over before the end of business hours on Tuesday. The Election Commission will publish the information on the website on March 15.
At the same time, the Supreme Court criticized the SBI for seeking time till June 6 to hand over the information. The court’s question was what did the bank do 26 days after the verdict on February 15.
The court asked to hand over the details of the election bonds and the accepted parties. When the bank said that they needed time to combine these, the Supreme Court directed them to provide the information in the same way.
