Union Minister and NDA candidate Smriti Irani ridiculed Rahul’s cowardice for being afraid to contest in Amethi. Smriti Irani said that the Congress has admitted defeat by announcing Rahul as a candidate for Rae Bareli constituency. Congress ruled Amethi for 50 years. Smriti asked what they have done for the country and Amethi.
This is why Rahul expressed interest in contesting from Rae Bareli instead of Amethi. If there was even a glimmer of hope in them, they would have been willing to contest in Amethi. It is up to you people to decide if there is any point in voting for such cowards,” said Smriti Irani.
BJP has been able to make many developments here in 5 years which Congress could not do in 50 years. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, once the result of the Lok Sabha election is announced, Rahul will have to look for another constituency from Wayanad and the people of Rae Bareli have already made their decision, Smriti said.
