Planned Murder in Alappuzha: Elderly Woman Killed and Buried, Post-Mortem Today

Elderly Woman Killed and Buried, Post-Mortem Today. The police said that the incident in which an elderly woman was killed and buried in Alappuzha’s Kalavur was planned. It is concluded that a pit was dug at the back of the house before the murder. Mesthiri gave a statement to the police that on the day he came to collect the pit, there was an elderly woman in the house. Sharmila and Nidin Mathew, who are absconding, called Mestiri to dig a hole in the name of dumping waste at the back of the house.

It is said that at this time the elderly woman was seen in that house. The pit was taken on the 7th of August. Mesthiri also testified that when he came to collect the remaining money two days later, he found that the hole was covered. The police concluded that Subhadra was killed between August 7 and 10.

The postmortem in the case will be held this morning at Alappuzha Medical College. Forensic surgeons visited the scene yesterday. The post-mortem process will be complicated as the dead body is a month old. It is reported that the investigation team conducted a search in Udupi for Nitin Mathew and Sharmila, who are suspected to be the accused, but could not find the accused.

The investigation team found that they had pawned Subhadra’s gold in Udupi apart from Alappuzha jewellers. Although they stole Subhadra’s gold ornaments, the real reason behind the murder is still unclear. The police received a complaint that Subhadra was missing on the 4th of last month.
