“PM Modi Unveils Gaganyaan Mission Pilots’ Names During Kerala Visit”

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM ∙ Passengers going to India’s space travel program ‘Gaganyaan’ were presented at a ceremony held at VSSC. The Prime Minister’s announcement was made at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.

Those four are Group Captain Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajith Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Subanshu Shukla who are Malayali. Three of them will board the Gaganyaan spacecraft and go into space. Their training is complete.

The test pilots had completed training in Russia for a year and a half. Training was also conducted at Human Space Flight Center under ISRO in Bengaluru. Fighter pilots are selected for the mission as they are capable of facing difficult challenges.

The Prime Minister reached Thiruvananthapuram Airport around 11 am. After the function at VSSC, the Prime Minister will participate in the closing ceremony of the Padayatra led by BJP State President K. Surendran at the Central Stadium. Prime Minister will leave Thiruvananthapuram for Tamil Nadu at 1.20 pm. The Prime Minister will return tomorrow at 1.10 pm and will leave for Maharashtra at 1.15 pm.
