PP Divya Expresses Dissatisfaction with CPM’s Actions

PP Divya has voiced strong discontent with the CPM’s decision to demote her within the party ranks. Divya claims that the party did not give her a chance to explain her side regarding the allegations. She was removed from all party responsibilities after being remanded in connection with ADM Naveen Babu’s alleged suicide case.

In an emergency meeting, the CPM Kannur District Committee decided to demote Divya to branch-level membership, a move recently approved by the state secretariat. As a result, Divya, previously a district committee member, has now been reassigned to the Irinavu Dam branch under the Irinavu Local Committee, the second-highest disciplinary action within the CPM.

Reports indicate internal discontent within the CPM, with some members opposing disciplinary action against Divya amid ongoing organizational meetings. Although the state secretariat’s approval made the decision public, further procedural steps may be needed at the state committee level. The situation has led to discussions within the party, as some believe the Pathanamthitta district’s stance influenced the decision against the Kannur faction.
