The highly anticipated sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule has shattered box office records with a global opening day gross of ₹282.91 crore, making it the biggest opening for an Indian film ever. Initial reports estimated ₹175 crore, but the inclusion of overseas earnings pushed the figure to ₹283 crore on its release day, December 5.
