Woman in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir gives birth in an Army vehicle while on the way to a hospital. The road was blocked owing to heavy snow fall. The lady and baby were later admitted to a hospital, according to an official defence spokesperson.
Kalaroos Company Commander received a distress call in the wee hours on Monday. Asha worker said the lady in Narikoot was in labour pain and needed immediate evacuation. An ambulance could be come due to snowfall. Army vehicle accompanied by a medical team came to their rescue at Narikoot. While on their way to the hospital, the Asha workers and the medical team suggested that the condition of the patient is serious, they insisted to park the car. The woman delivered in the army vehicle with the help of an health team of Army. The Company Commander congratulated the family with gifts and felicitated the brave Asha Worker, for her confidence in Army Medics and her decisiveness in odd circumstances.
