Meanwhile, Siddharth’s father Jayaprakash came out against the CPM over his son’s death. The party is protecting the main accused. There are no main suspects among the six arrested. He alleged that 12 people were suspended from the college and none of them were arrested. The son had said that senior SFIs use drugs. All the 12 people related to the incident are SF members. There are no main suspects among the arrested suspects. He also alleged that the police did not arrest the main accused because of party pressure.

However, SFI state secretary PM Arshaw said that no one would be spared the culprits in Siddharth’s death. Four office bearers of SFI College Union have been expelled from the organization in connection with the case. The action was taken after the preliminary report of the anti-ragging cell came out.

Siddharth was attacked in a way that should not happen in any campus. SFI will investigate further in this regard. If more activists are found guilty, action will be taken against all of them. Not all those behind the violence are believed to be SFIs. Arshaw said that there is no need to give organizational color to this.
