Health Minister KK Shailaja has said that sit-ins will be allotted to COVID patients who need care. The hospital superintendents were instructed in the absence of any specific instructions to allow sitters at COVID Hospital. The minister also said that the superintendents should make arrangements to ensure care as per the directions of the COVID Board. Superintendents understand the patient’s condition and the need for assistance and allow sitters in cases where they are needed.

The patient’s relative maybe a companion. The adder must be a healthy person. Those who have been COVID positive before may have added a negative one month ago. But they have to give their written consent. The PPE kit will be issued to the adder.
