Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the central government is committed to the development of infrastructure in border villages. The Defense Minister was speaking at the Border Zone Development Conclave held in Delhi.
A review of the Vibrant Village project aimed at ensuring the development of border villages was also held in the program.Currently 1500 villages have access to high speed internet. In the last four years, 7000 villages have been provided with high-speed internet. The Defense Minister explained that getting electricity will bring progress to every sector of the country.
In addition, BRO has constructed 8500 km of roads and 400 permanent bridges. BRO also explains that Atal Tunnel, Shikun La Tunnel and Sela Tunnel are the milestones of BRO. Construction of 220 KV electricity lines in Srinagar lay areas to be connected to National Grid is also in progress.
