Kochi: A biker died after getting entangled in a rope tied on the road for the safety of the Prime Minister. Manoj Unni (28), a native of Kochi Thevara and resident of Vadutala, died. He is a temporary employee of Kochi Corporation. Manoj got caught in the rope and hit his head on the road and was rushed to the hospital but his life could not be saved.
The accident happened around one o’clock in the morning. Coming from SA road and going up to MG road, near Valanjambalam bus stop, the police cordoned off the road and controlled the traffic. At the time of the accident, the police were not standing across the road.
