The fuel surcharge on the electricity bill has been reduced

Thiruvananthapuram: The fuel surcharge has been reduced by 6 paise per unit for monthly billing customers and 8 paise per unit for bi-monthly billing customers in the March electricity bill. The reduction in fuel surcharge will be applicable only in the March electricity bill.

Earlier, it was 10 paise. The surcharge that KSEB had been charging on its own to recover the cost of purchasing electricity from outside has been reduced. The 9 paise that was charged as per the order of the Electricity Regulatory Commission was waived last month.
