The Pathanamthitta police have halted further proceedings in the case against activist Rehana Fathima. The case was filed based on allegations that she insulted Lord Ayyappa through a Facebook post.
The police stated that they could not obtain information related to the 2018 Facebook post from Meta. They also mentioned that further action would be taken if the information is received. The complainant, BJP leader Radhakrishna Menon, has been informed of the decision. The police have also submitted a report regarding the case to the magistrate’s court.
