Sunday was the day when the highest number of Kovid cases were reported in the state. In Thiruvananthapuram district alone 222 cases were confirmed. However, the district is concerned that 203 of them contracted the disease through contact.
Meanwhile, another COVID death was reported in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Jayachandran, 56, of Kaliyikavila. In Thiruvananthapuram district, the number of confirmed cases has increased to 2140 so far. There are 1883 active cases in the district. 285 people were cured. Nine people have died so far in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Ernakulam (98), Palakkad (81), Kollam (75), Thrissur (61), Kasaragod (57) and Alappuzha (52) have more than 50 patients today alone. Out of these, Ernakulam (84), Palakkad (70), Kollam (61), Kasaragod (48) and Alappuzha (34) have the highest number of cases.
