According to national media reports, he created an Instagram ID pretending to be Vidya Balan and sent messages saying he would offer work and asked people for money. After the incident came to her notice, Vidya Balan lodged a complaint with the Mumbai police. On the star’s complaint, the Khar police in Mumbai registered a case under IT section 66 (c) and started an investigation.
Vidya Balan had warned about the fake account through a social media post the other day. The actor said that fake accounts should be blocked and reported and such crimes should not be encouraged.
