Search for missing persons in Mundakai landslide enters fifth day. The latest information is that 344 people died. The bodies of 14 people were found yesterday. Seven bodies and 10 body parts were recovered from Chaliyar yesterday.
A total of 189 bodies were found. It will include 69 dead bodies and 120 body parts. The bodies of 37 men, 27 women, three boys and two girls were recovered. Postmortem of 180 dead bodies has been completed. 149 dead bodies were taken to Wayanad. Three bodies were handed over to relatives.
A drone-based radar will arrive from Delhi for reciprocation. 40 teams will be searching in six zones. Army, NDRF, Navy, Air Force and dog squad will also participate in the search. The search will continue in Chaliyar today.
