Thiruvananthapuram: A critically ill woman and her unborn child died while trying to give birth at home in Karaikkamandpat. Shamina, a native of Poonthura, also died. He died on the way to the hospital due to bleeding. Meanwhile, it is reported that it was the family’s decision to give birth at home.
The delivery started at 3 pm on Tuesday. The baby partially came out but then got stuck and started bleeding. Even after 5.30 pm, the family tried to take the child out. Then the woman was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram around 6 o’clock.
Meanwhile, the woman and the baby died before reaching the hospital. Nemam police have registered a case and started investigation.
