Palakkad: A young man who committed online fraud to recover the amount lost through online fraud has been arrested by the police. The complaint alleged that the accused had stolen Rs 1.93 lakh from the woman. Sujith, a resident of Farok Karuvantiruthy, Kozhikode, was arrested by the police in the case.
Meanwhile, Sujith had lost 1.40 lakhs through online fraud. It was Sujith who took it back in the same way. Sujith extorted Rs 1.93 lakh from the woman. The scam was advertised on social media in the name of work from home.
In the first phase, the woman received money. But after paying a huge amount, the money was not returned. Suspecting fraud, the woman complained to the police.
