Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck Arrives at the Maha Kumbh Mela

King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, arrives at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. He performed a sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam with the holy dip, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Both leaders prayed for a long time at the holy confluence. The Bhutanese King stated in Prayagraj that the Maha Kumbh Mela would bring world peace and create significant global change.

The Bhutanese King arrived in Lucknow on Monday, where he was given a grand reception by the UP Chief Minister amidst traditional music and dance performances.

“On behalf of the land of courage, culture, and cultural harmony, Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj extends its warm greetings to His Majesty the King of Bhutan,” said the Chief Minister. Diplomats from 71 countries have already participated in the Maha Kumbh.
