The family had earlier sent a mail to Air India Express demanding compensation. In response, Air India Express has now sent an email message. Rajesh was admitted to the hospital on the last 7th after collapsing at work. Later, his wife Amrita bought a flight ticket to leave for Oman at 8, but the journey was canceled due to the Air India Express flight attendants’ strike. Even though the ticket was taken again, that service was also canceled due to the strike. With this, the trip was stopped again. Meanwhile, Rajesh died on the morning of the 13th.

Nambi Rajesh’s family protested in front of the Air India Express office with his dead body after it was brought from Oman. In the following days too, his wife Amrita and his family staged a sit-in in front of the office. Later, a complaint was filed with the Chief Minister and the Education Minister, requesting help in getting the compensation amount. Then Minister V Sivankutty had sent a letter to the Center requesting to intervene in the matter.
