Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary MV Govindan said party members should not stay away from temple affairs. Even if the party members do not go, the supporters should be involved in the temple affairs. The state secretary made this clear while reporting to party branch secretaries. He pointed out that believers need to be kept together. Believers should be kept firmly with the party.
Govindan told the branch secretaries that the wrong counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections was a serious mistake. It means that the party is fundamentally flawed. The party could not understand the mind of the people. BJP’s vote percentage in Thiruvananthapuram and Attingal constituencies is shocking. Corrections are essential at all levels from the central committee to the branch. The proposal for this will be decided in the coming state committee. He said that no leader is above the red flag and that should be remembered from the branch secretary to the party secretary.
MV Govindan criticized that many people join the party with the aim of making financial gains. He said that staying in hostels and SFI offices under the label of SFI cannot be allowed even after studying in campuses. Even the death of a student named Siddharth harmed the left movement. Movements like SFI should not make students of anti-social nature a part of the movement.
