ED served notice to C M Raveendran to appear on December 10

The Enforcement Directorate had served notice for C M Raveendran, additional Private secretary to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to appear for interrogation on December 10. Another notice has also been issued to Raveendran by ED seeking property details of Raveendran and his wife.

Meanwhile, NIA court has granted permission to handover the whatsapp chats of Sivasankar, Swapna Suresh and Chartered accountant Venugopal including phone call details, in connection with the Vadakkancherry life mission scam to Vigilance. The Vigilance will receive the details within one week from CDAC. Vigilance has also stared probing about the appointment of Swapna Suresh in the Space Park under the IT Kerala Mission. Meanwhile, customs is interrogating UAE consulate former gunman Jayaghosh and driver Siddique.

Customs has found out that Swapna Suresh and Sarith has smuggled Rs 100 crore abroad as reverse hawala. Swapna and Sarith had given information about more people who were involved in the gold smuggling to the customs through their secret statements. Customs will make Swapna and Sarith as approvers in the gold smuggling case. Customs is going to interrogate Unitac owner Santhosh Eapen and IT fellow Arun Balachnadran. Customs officials indicated that high personalities are involved in the case and Swapna and Sarith are only the links. They also indicated that there would be more arrests in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the court posted the matter of the bail petition, submitted by the former principal secretary at Chief Minister’s Office, M Sivasankar in the money laundering case in connection with the gold smuggling case registered by the Customs Department to December 7.
