Palakkad: Explosives Found Hidden in Pickup Truck Near a House in Chittoor, Palakkad. During an Excise raid, James Matthan from Ernakulam and Vivek Wilson from Thrissur were arrested, according to Excise officials.
The truck contained 14,000 gelatin sticks and 6,000 detonators, the Excise department said. The accused were handed over to the Kallur Police Station. The raid was conducted under the leadership of Excise Inspector KS Sajith from the Palakkad Excise Circle Office.
The team also included Assistant Excise Inspector (Grade) Jishu Joseph from the Palakkad Special Squad, Civil Excise Officer A. Aravindakshan from the Ozhappetty Excise Checkpost, and Civil Excise Officer R. Unnikrishnan from the Palakkad Excise Range.
