India on Friday successfully test-fired the Rudram-1 anti-radiation missile from the fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30. The missile is designed by the Defense Research and Development Organization. This missile will increase the firepower of Indian fighter aircraft in the air and will also increase tactical capability.
A source familiar with the matter said that the launch speed of this missile is twice that of sound. DRDO has developed new generation weapons. It was tested off Odisha coast at 10:30 AM.On the successful testing of DRDO, an official source said that it is a huge success. He said that this has given the Indian Air Force the ability to go deep inside the enemy’s air defense system and destroy it.
It is the first such missile made in India, which can be fired from any height. These missiles can capture any kind of signal and radiation. It can also destroy the missile by bringing it into its radar.Earlier, India conducted a successful pilot test of a supersonic missile assisted release of torpedo (SMART) system developed in the country from a test center at Odisha offshore area on Monday. The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the ‘smart system submarine’ is for destructive warfare operations.
“Today, on 5 October 2020,” the Supersonic Missile Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) has been successfully test fired from Wheeler Island, offshore area of Odisha, at 11.45 am. Wheeler Island is now called Abdul Kalam Island. ”
The test was conducted by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The statement said the test was successful and all standards were achieved. The ‘Smart System Submarine’ is a lightweight torpedo system for destructive missions. The statement said that this test and demonstration is very important in establishing anti-submarine capability.
An official of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) said that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the scientists of DRDO for this test. This test is a major achievement in anti-submarine warfare. Rajnath Singh tweeted, “DRDO, India has successfully tested the Supersonic Missile Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) which will be a major achievement in anti-submarine warfare capability”.
