The BJP is intensifying its agitation demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is complicit in gold smuggling and treason. As part of this, BJP state president K Surendran said that the state will celebrate Karidinam on Monday, July 21. He called for a show of protest flames in homes across the state today.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s resignation will be ignited in ten lakh houses in Kerala. Protests will be held at the ward level by burning the coffin of the Chief Minister. More and more details are coming out every day that the Chief Minister’s Office was complicit in the gold smuggling. There is a situation where the investigation extends to the Chief Minister and his loyalists. However, Surendran said in a statement that it was a shame for the people of Kerala that Pinarayi did not show the courtesy to step down and face the investigation. The BJP will lead a stronger agitation in the coming days.

Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala attacked the CM and said that Vijayan is “defending his (former) principal secretary”, which apparently proves that he was complicit in the smuggling.“The Chief Minister is justifying and protecting the accused in the gold smuggling case. Why is he hesitant to suspend his former secretary (and former IT Secretary) M Sivasankar who was questioned by the customs for over eight hours in the gold smuggling case. The CM is still asking why he should suspend Sivasankar,” Chennithala claimed.
