BJP state president K Surendran said that the CPM-Congress alliance formed in Bengal with the permission of the CPM politburo including Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is spreading to Kerala. He said in a statement that the advertising alliance in Bengal was an example of how the CPM and the Congress would go to great lengths to hold on to their national existence.

Realizing the growth of the BJP, both the parties are trying to expand the alliance in Kerala as well. The CPM-Congress alliance talks have begun to defeat the BJP in the local body elections. The Manjeswaram and Vattiyoorkavu model is an attempt to expand the state. The Muslim League has joined hands with the militant groups Jamaat-e-Islami and the SDPI in the name of anti-BJP sentiment. Kodiyeri and Chennithala have been blaming each other for their RSS links to the minority vote.

The vigilance probe against Ramesh Chennithala was thwarted during the Left government. Chennithala has always been rescued by the CPM government. The CPM’s top brass survived the TP murder case only because Ramesh Chennithala was home minister. Surendran also scoffed that if Kodiyeri drinks milk with his eyes closed, he should not pretend that no one knows the truth.
