KT Jaleel announces retirement from political life

Malappuram: KT Jaleel MLA has announced his decision to end his electoral political career. He stated that he is not committed to anyone, not to the Congress, nor to the CPM, though he expressed a desire to continue cooperating with the CPM.

Jaleel added that while he agrees with P.V. Anvar on some matters, there are areas of disagreement. He will provide more details during a press conference scheduled for 4:30 PM today. Earlier, Jaleel had declared that he would not contest any future elections, emphasizing that he does not desire any positions of power and that he will remain a supporter of the CPM until his last breath.

Further insights will be available in the final chapter of his book, Swargasthanaaya Gandhiji, which will be released on October 2, as per Jaleel’s statement on Facebook yesterday.

The book is being published by Kairali Books, and Jaleel has dedicated it to his political mentor, Korambayil Ahammed Haji, and Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who provided him support within the Left.
