Representatives of Unitas, the company that won the contract for the construction of the Vadakancherry Life Mission project, told the investigating agencies that they had to pay a commission of Rs 4.25 crore. During interrogation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), it was revealed that the commission had to pay Rs 20 crore for the construction of houses for the homeless. Unitec says Swapna Suresh has taken two commissions in connection with the project. Sandeep, Swapna, and Sarith together demanded a 6 percent commission. Of this, Rs 55 lakh was transferred through Sandeep’s bank account. According to UNITEC, the Consul General has asked for a 20 percent commission to award the contract.Once Swapna lying on the silk mattress and now laid it on the iron bed!
