Anil Akkara MLA has repeatedly accused Minister AC Moideen of corruption in connection with the construction of the Vadakancherry Life Mission flat. Of the Rs 4.5 crore commission received by Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case in connection with the project, Rs 2 crore belongs to the minister. Anil Akkara said that he is aware of the constant corruption of the minister. Minister AC Moideen had met the media with harsh criticism against the MLA. It was after this that Anil Akkara came on the scene with the reply.

The Life Mission letter states that the Red Crescent should choose Uni Talk. Can the letter show that the Red Crescent was commissioned? Does the government have any records of the commissioning of the Red Crescent unit? Will the Minister produce the document? In Vadakkancherry, Can you show the minutes of the meeting held to construct the building? Anil Akkara pointed out that there was a definite corruption and that the minister’s arguments were bizarre.

Anil Akkara also asked if the minister had any understanding of the soil test. The soil test was performed by Habitat, not Unitac. Permission was granted to build a housing complex. So who gave permission to build the hospital? The UAE Consulate entered into an agreement with Sign Ventures. Who is Zine Ventures? Why did the minister not mention that name? The hospital is being built by Zine Ventures. Anil asked Akkare where their board was. Why did you buy land in Vanchikulam for crores of rupees for the waste plant at Laloore and then buy land on the Nadathara? Anil Akkara said he was aware of the minister’s persistent corruption.
