The wait for 1.3 million students appearing for Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHSE) HSC exam is getting longer as there is no official confirmation of when the results will be announced. However, according to some media reports, it is being told that the HSC result is expected to be released next week.
The examination, which began on March 7, was scheduled to end in April, however, it was stopped mid-way after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown in view of rising cases of coronavirus. The examinations were later canceled as the state government said that it was impossible to conduct the exam in such an environment.
A student has to bring at least 35 percent marks in each subject to pass the state SSC and HSC examinations. Once the results are declared, the students who pass these exams, their original mark sheets are also released. Students have to get their mark sheets from the respective schools. Students who have appeared for this exam can check their results by going to the official website mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in.
In view of increasing cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra, the government has also canceled the final year or last semester college examinations across the state. This step has been taken by Maharashtra Environment and Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray. Talking to the media, Thackeray said that this is potentially dangerous given the high number of coronavirus cases in the state.
