Meanwhile, in another development, B.S. Pradeep Kumar arrested by the Bekal police for threatening the approver, as his bail plea was rejected by the Kasargod District Sessions Court.

B S Pradeep Kumar, office secretary of KB Ganesh Kumar MLA, has been arrested from Pathanapuram. He was taken to Kasargod as the Kasargod District Sessions Court had yesterday rejected Pradeep Kumar’s anticipatory bail application.

Pradeep Kumar has been threatening and trying to influence the approver Vipinlal in the actor abduction and assault case. Vipinlal filed a complaint with the Bekal police that he was getting calls and letters since January, urging him to change his statement in the case. Vipin Lal had told officers investigating the actor abduction case that he was forced by ‘Pulsar’ Suni and authorities of Kakkanad jail in Kochi to write a letter to actor Dileep asking for money.

Shukkoor S, circle inspector, Peechi, told the media, “ The police have received an email complaint from Jenson revealing that he was contacted by a person who had offered 25 lakh and five cents of land to him to depose in favour of the accused in the case. We have not registered a case on the basis of the complaint,”.

The special public prosecutor Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) A Suresan, who has been representing the victim in the Malayalam actress assault, abduction case, wrote to the Kerala government asking permission to resign from the case on Monday.

Suresan’s letter came three days after the Kerala High Court rejected the petitions of the victim and the state government seeking a transfer of the trial to a different court on November 20. However, the Kerala government rejected the prosecutor’s resignation. DGP Loknath Behra has asked Prosecutor A Suresh to withdraw his resignation.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan directed to file an immediate appeal for the change of court. The Chief Minister said that justice should be ensured immediately.

In February 2017, a popular Malayalam actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly molested inside her car for two hours by the accused, who had forced their way into the vehicle and later escaped in a busy area. Malayalam actor Dileep is the accused mastermind of the case.
