Manu was killed in a wild elephant attack; his wife is missing, and the search has intensified

Kalpetta: Manu (45) of Kappad Unnati was killed in a wild elephant attack in Noolpuzha, Sultanbathery. The tragic incident occurred yesterday evening when he was returning from a shop to buy goods. Following the incident, MLA I. C. Balakrishnan said that the wife of the deceased Manu, Chandrika, is also missing.

It is reported that Manu, who had come to Kappad Unnai from Tamil Nadu for a party, was accompanied by his wife. Based on this, MLA I. C. Balakrishnan said that a search is underway for Manu’s wife. It is reported that the wild elephant attacked him while he was walking towards Unnai after getting off the bus.

The body was found in a field near the house. Footprints of a wild elephant were found near where Manu’s body was lying. The inquest proceedings will be completed and the body will be taken for postmortem.
