Monsoon Intensifies Again: Heavy Rain Alert Issued for Three Districts, Advisory for Caution

It will rain in the state today. Orange alert declared in three districts. Orange alert in Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur districts. The Meteorological Center has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places. Yellow alert has also been declared in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts.

According to the Central Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate rain at isolated places in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts and light rain at isolated places in other districts.

The weather department has warned that heavy rain will continue in the coming days. Orange alert has been announced in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts tomorrow. Also Yellow Alert is on in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Palakkad districts.

Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are on orange alert and Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur districts are on yellow alert on Sunday. An orange alert has been announced in Kannur and Kasaragod districts on Monday. Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts are on yellow alert.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that there is a possibility of black sea phenomenon and high waves on the Kerala coast till 11.30 pm tonight and on the Tamil Nadu coast till 7 pm tomorrow. Fishermen and coastal residents in these areas should exercise caution.
